Supports the efforts of schools to encourage students to stay in school, return to school, or get more involved in school activities

Assists 6th- through 12th-grade students in need throughout the State of Washington

Provides program funding for students in more than 600 public and private secondary schools

Has 50 pre-approved funding areas for school principals and counselors to use on behalf of students without additional InvestED permission or added bureaucracy

Provides for immediate needs of students to keep them engaged in school – needs such as clothing, shoes, school activity cards, help with health and hygiene issues, calculators, lab fees, Advanced Placement exam fees, art and music supplies, and field trips. Assisted 16,171 students in 2010-2011

Serves 61% of secondary schools in the State of Washington that could qualify for funds. We have a strategic goal to serve even more.

Uses a web-based infrastructure to facilitate and track the program, providing accountability with minimal bureaucracy.

Offers School Fund coordinators additional training and support in facilitating program and local fundraising

Supports local fundraising efforts with a “Challenge Matching Grant” program, enabling the schools to serve more students in need.

Operates with three full-time equivalent staff; full-time executive and development directors, part-time accountant, database supervisor, and board liaison. We could not fulfill our mission without the assistance of volunteers who serve meaningful roles such as; supporting our grantees with customer service, volunteer coordination, web development and IT support, graphic design, administrative support, event support, marketing, editing, and project management.
